When construction project insurance goes wrong -
Practical Considerations

Description

This interactive program will provide a review of a variety of insurance-related issues that can occur on a construction project. The program analyzes insurance coverage for most common types of losses on a project - property damage, bodily injury, and delay/business interruption, which types of insurance best respond to these losses, and what pitfalls to avoid when submitting an insurance claim.

Learning Objectives

  • Using case studies, learn to identify issues related to each type of insurance used on a construction project (commercial general liability including additional insured coverage, professional liability, and commercial auto)
  • Understand the life cycle of a project-related insurance claim and how to avoid delays or denials of coverage
  • Learn about best practices for pursuing additional insured coverage
  • Learn to avoid common mistakes when submitting a claim for losses on a project

Note: This is a live, in-person session.  However we are planning to record the session and make it available to participants afterwards. To receive a recording of the session, simply register and during the checkout process, please note that you would like the recorded version in the COMMENTS box.  The recording will be emailed to you 2-5 business days after the live session.
